Curriculum & Salient Features

The Curriculum-2023 (C-23) approved by the Board of Governors of the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh, has been implemented from the Academic Year 2023-24. The curriculum is designed to meet present industrial requirements while strengthening students' practical knowledge, employability skills and higher education opportunities.

Salient Features

1 Duration of Diploma Programme is 3 Years / 3½ Years depending upon the programme.
2 Curriculum follows Semester Pattern while the First Year is conducted in Year-wise Pattern.
3 Six months Industrial Training is introduced for all Diploma programmes except Chemical and Metallurgy.
4 Admissions are through POLYCET conducted by SBTET, Andhra Pradesh.
5 Admission to D.Pharmacy and DHMCT programmes is through separate notification.
6 Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory to appear for End Semester Examination.
7 Condonation of attendance shortage up to 10% may be granted on genuine medical grounds.
8 Students with attendance below 65% shall be detained.
9 Theory subjects carry 80 marks for End Examination and 20 marks for Internal Assessment.
10 Practical subjects carry 60 marks for Practical Examination and 40 marks for Continuous Assessment.
11 Industrial Training is evaluated through assessment, Log Book, Training Record and Viva-Voce.
