Our labs
Material Testing LAB
Laboratory for Material Testing is a departmental testing facility with sophisticated technology which facilitates to assess the performance of wide range of civil engineering materials. It serves as one of the platforms in the department for industrial consultancy. The facility typically evaluates tensile capacity, compressive strength, shear capacity, elastic properties, etc., of the materials. All the instruments and devices are regular calibrated to ensure quality of the test results.
Hydraulics Laboratory
Hydraulics Laboratory is well equipped with flow measuring devices in pipes and flow measurements in open channels. Facilities are available for calibration of flow measuring devices as well as pressure testing of pipes and pumps. The various equipment available in the lab are, Venturimeter, Orifice meters , Notch plates , Pipe friction apparatus Mouth pieces Orifice plates Centrifugal pump Submersible pump Jet pump Reciprocating pump Pelton wheel turbine Francis turbine Kaplan turbine
